Under Grace

—by Dr. Bill Davis, former Pastor of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church for 41 years.

Romans 6:14  For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

Or maybe afternoon, or evening.  As you begin this new year, you will come face to face with new experiences and will be forced to adjust to new surroundings. At your side stands One who says to you out of the core of His gentle heart, “Take no thought for the morrow.”  You are human and you are concerned, but your Savior will see you through as you face tomorrow’s uncertainties.

Or, look at it this way: The Lord Has Been with You in Your Yesterdays. He has guided you through varied experiences. Certainly the wings of His protesting love will go with you tomorrow. He cares for the lonely sparrow and the lilies in the field. Surely He will not fail you who by faith have become His child. Even though we are not under law but under grace. This does not mean that we as Christians are lawless, but we are under an other law more powerful than the law of Commandments. It is the law of LOVE.

As you walk with Him this year, MAY YOU LET HIM INCREASE AND YOU DECREASE. Remember each day GOD IS LOVE!
